Vision of the Ultimate Realm

Description

This painting represents a vision of my own personal world, and the world in which my character Alex Garnet lives in. I tend to consider this as the world of my imagination, and the world I will enter when I die, the realm of eternity, an afterlife realm. This painting only represents part of that world, as I could not fit all of it in the painting. Maybe I'll upload a full map later on. But what you can see is my own layout of continents and sea, with a central mountain, with cities, natural landscape, and plenty of space to explore and do whatever in. You can also see a few landmarks indicating unique locations, a fantastical bird, and shadowy representations of monsters gently implying a world humans share with monsters in some way, and conflict that gives life meaning. The yellow corners represent the additional dimension of light, and the dark red/purple represent the dimension of darkness, which both fuel the world you see before you.

This painting is actually intended to be made for my cousin and her partner, and is kind of overdue. In the summer of 2014, they suggested a painting of my own vision of "heaven", or the afterlife, and it took way too long for me to round to it. I actually plan this is to be a Christmas gift for them now that it's done.

My own vision of the afterlife is the afterlife that I create for myself: one in which I can live in the ways that I can't live on Earth. I would live the life of my alter ego Alex Garnet, and have adventures, fight, love, travel my own world, do all the things that Alex does and do it all again in eternity and never get bored. All, naturally, without the coil of Earth, and the problems that come with it. Basically, my afterlife is the greatest video game I could ever play, and the greatest interactive world I could ever engage with. You can see a small representation of Alex Garnet on a beach in the continent covered in forests looking towards an island called Mu, perhaps planning his next excursion.
